Once upon a time, there was a  Venusian who had just created her Hello Talk account. She was 9876 years old and lived in a small crater alone. One day, she got the first message from someone from Mars. His first message was just “Hi!” Period. She checked his profile and moment pages but did not see enough contents. According to the system, the Martian was 12,345 years old, a little bit older than her. She had no idea how to respond to him. Any way, she replied back by writing, “Hi.” Twenty years later, she got the second message from the Martian saying, “Hi!” She replied back again, “Hi.” Ten years later, she got the third message from him, “Hello!” The Venusian still had no idea how to communicate with him. She responded, “Hello!” Five thousand years later, she got the forth message from the Martian, “How are you?” She replied back, “I’m okay.” Three hundred years later, she got the fifth message, “Are you from Mars?” It seemed that he had not read her profile. She had no idea what to do next. The next day, she got the sixth message from him, “I want to travel to Venus, can you guide me in your town?” She panicked!

ある時、ハロートークにアカウントを新規作成したばかりの、金星人がいた。彼女は、9876歳で、小さなクレーターに独り住まいであった。ある日、彼女は、火星の誰かから、初めてのメッセージを受信した。彼からのメッセージは、唯ひと言、「ハイ！」丸。彼女は彼のプロファイルと、モーメントページを見たが、大した内容は見当たらなかった。システムの表示では、火星人は12,345歳で、彼女よりも少し年上だった。彼女はどう反応して良いかわからなかったが、取り敢えず、「ハイ。」と書いて返信した。20年後、彼女に、その火星人から2度目のメッセージが、届いたが、またもや内容は、「ハイ！」であった。彼女は、再度、「ハイ。」と返事を書いた。10年後、彼女の下に、彼から3度目のメッセージが届いたが、今度は「ハロー！」となっていた。金星人は、彼とのコミュニケーションをどう取るべきか決めかねていたので、「ハロー！」と返した。5,000年後、彼女は火星人から、4つ目のメッセージを受け取った。「元気ですか？」と書かれていた。彼女は、「まあまあです。」と答えた。300年後、彼女は5通目のメッセージを受信した。「金星からですか？」どうやら、彼は彼女のプロファイルもロクに読んでいないようだった。彼女は次にどうするか決め兼ねていた。翌日、彼女は、彼からの6通目のメッセージを受け取った。それには、「金星に旅行に行きたいんです。あなたの町を案内してもらえませんか？」彼女はパニクった！

「ハイ！」: “Hi!”

丸(まる): a small circle, “。” used at the end of a sentence in Japanese, and works as a period in English.

プロファイル: a profile
モーメントページ: a moment page

見る(みる): to see, to look, to watch, to monitor, to review, to take care
見たが、…… (みたが、): saw it but ……… (usually followed by a negative clause.)
大した(たいした): great, big, much, good
内容(ないよう): content
見当たらない(みあたらない): You do not see it. Something has gone.



According to the system, the Martian was 12,345 years old, a little bit older than her. She had no idea how to respond to him. Any way, she replied back by writing, “Hi.”

Ten years later, she got the third message from him, “Hello!” The Venusian still had no idea how to communicate with him. She responded, “Hello!”
10年後、彼女の下に、彼から3度目のメッセージが届いたが、今度は「ハロー！」となっていた。金星人は、彼とのコミュニケーションをどう取るべきか決めかねていたので、「ハロー！」と返した。

The next day, she got the sixth message from him, “I want to travel to Venus, can you guide me in your town?” She panicked!
