Once upon a time, there was a Martian who lived in Tokyo and used a lot of different names in his daily life.
He came to Japan two thousand years ago.
His native language was Martian of course but he also spoke English fluently.
He learned Japanese by himself and was able to speak it at an intermediate level, good enough for his daily life.
However, he sometimes told people that he was a native English speaker.
His real name was Massan but he somehow felt comfortable with using many names. One day, Massan had breakfast at the Riverside Cafe by the Kanda-River.
He said hello to an elderly woman sitting near his table.
He introduced himself, “My name is Cappuccino. I’m from Mars.” He conversed with her. After his breakfast, Massan took a walk by the river.
Again, he tried talking to people.
He said, “Good morning! My name is Donald Shrimp. I’m from the United States. I am the president of Hello University's Tokyo Campus. I can teach you English!” In this way, Massan often changed his name.
He had breakfast at Riverside Cafe and walked by the Kanda-River every day. One century later, a story writer wrote a story about the Martian titled “Massan.”
The story began with a sentence like this, “Once upon a time, there was a Martian who lived in Tokyo and used a lot of different names in his daily life.”
