The cashier said to the man, “The total comes to 4,567 yen.” The man asked the cashier, “Do you take a credit card?” The cashier answered, “Sorry, we don't take plastic cards.”
The man said, “I don't have enough cash now. Is there another method I can use for my payment?” The cashier said, “We have just begun to accept Apple Pay. You can pay with your iPhone.”
Then, the man said, “I have an iPad in my car but not an iPhone. Well, just a moment, I will look for something in my car.” His wife said to him, “I will wait here.”
A couple of minutes later, the man came back and said to the cashier, “Okay, I'm ready to make the payments! Here, my homegrown apples will pay it. They are as good as more than 5,000 yen!”
The cashier spoke in a low voice, “Please, don't speak loudly. Let's talk outside. My wife has become devoted to your homegrown apples since your last payment.”

男が言った。「車の中にアイパッドは、有るけど、アイフォーンはないなぁ。えーと、ちょっと待って、車の中を見てきます。」そこで、妻が言った。「そしたら、私は、ここで待っていますね。」
二、三分後、男が戻ってきて、レジ係に言った。「大丈夫、払えそうです！ ほら、この自家製の林檎で払います。5千円相当以上です。」
担当者が、小声で、男に言った。「大きな声を出さないで下さい。外で話しましょう。妻がお宅の林檎に首っ丈なんですよ、前回のお支払いのとき以来ね。」
