American Cafe
Once upon a time, there was a girl who admired America. The girl's family was poor, so they had never traveled abroad. One Sunday afternoon, the girl borrowed a DVD from a library. The title of the movie was "Rocky." The girl watched the movie again and again. Then, the girl was impressed by a word, "Rocky! The United States is the land of opportunity! Do you believe it?" One week passed. The girl returned the DVD to the library. A library clerk said to the girl, "I like 'Rocky,' too. Did you like this?"The girl answered, "Yes! 'The land of opportunity!'"
The girl entered a night school as she had already graduated from her junior high school. In the day time, she worked at the coffee shop "American Cafe" in the arcade. The owner of the shop loved America, and some of his customers were American. They often came to his cafe. On a wall in the cafe, there was a photo in which a man spoke to people. On the photo, was the name "Billy Graham" and the words "Ask! And you will receive!" were also printed.
One Saturday evening, while the girl was walking in the arcade, a foreign missionary was telling a message in front of the church, "Seek! And you will find!" She looked at the missionary's face and realized that he was one of the regular customers from the coffee shop. While the girl was listening attentively to the message, the missionary spoke to her, "We hold a free English class at the church every Saturday evening."
Saturday came. The girl entered the church property through the narrow back gate, and came to the entrance of a small room. There was a notice on the door and on it was written "Please knock on the door." The girl knocked and someone opened the door for her. To her surprise, the one who opened the door was the owner of American Cafe. The girl joined the English class.
Four years later, the girl graduated from night school. At church, the missionary told her, "Congratulations! I received a phone call from the seminary in the U.S. Your admission to the school and the scholarship were approved. Our church has also decided to support you. I'm happy for you!" The girl happily reported it to the owner of American Cafe. The owner said to the girl, "You know, America is great!" The girl smiled and said to the owner, "Yes, the land of opportunity! I believe it!"

We might say borrowed a movie, but wouldn't say both together. Some people believe you should use Movie for the cinema and DVD for the disk you watch at home.
Now, with Netflix and such, that gets muddled😄

その週の土曜日、少女は教会の裏側の狭い門から入り、小部屋の入り口に来ました。部屋のドアに張り紙が有って、「ドアをノックして下さい。」と書かれていました。少女が、ドアをノックしたら、誰かがドアを開けてくれました。ドアを開けてくれた人は、何と、アメリカンカフェのオーナーでした。そして少女は、英語クラスに参加しました。
四年後、少女は夜間高校を卒業しました。教会で、宣教師が少女に言いました。「おめでとう! アメリカの神学校から連絡が来たよ。あなたの入学と奨学金が認められたからね。教会も、あなたをサポートすることが決まったよ。よかったね! 」少女は喜んで、アメリカンカフェの店主に報告しました。店主が少女に言いました。「アメリカは、いいよ!」少女が笑顔で、店主に言いました。「はい、ランド・オヴ・オポチュニティー! 私、信じます!」
