A Man Who Lost Everything!

Once upon a time, there was a man who lost everything in Japan. When he reached the age of 50, he decided to simplify his life.

First, the man decided not to send people summer greeting cards which are called "shochu-mimai" that people send during the summer season by saying "It's hot, isn't it? How are you? Please take care!" and so on.

Second, the man also stopped sending New Year cards called "nen-ga-jo." Some people kept sending him those cards even though he stopped it. However, after two years, everyone also stopped giving him such a card. The man lost all greeting card relationships with people.

Third, the man canceled his home phone. He had an iPhone but he had not notified his friends or relatives of it's number because he had only been using it for checking Yahoo News. The man lost all phone relationship with people.

Fourth, the man deleted and reinstalled his SNS app. As a result, he lost all his chat histories including voice recording on the app.

Sixth, the man quit his company. Then he tried to find a new job but no companies wanted hire him. He lost his career.

Seventh, the man sold his house but the economy had been very bad. He sold his house for a cheaper price. Most of the funds he received from the buyer were just forwarded to his bank to pay off his mortgage.

Eighth, the man sold all his stocks and mutual funds and deposited all of the money into his savings account. Most of his funds were used to repay credit card companies. Within a year, he lost all his savings.

Ninth, his financial situation made his wife unhappy. So, she left him and went back to her parents' house. Her children followed her. He lost his family.

Tenth, the man sold all his furniture and appliances. Then, he moved to a lodge on a mountain which had been abandoned by the owner. The lodge had no electricity, no gas, no water service, and no cell phone connection. He lost his city life.

Eleventh, the man ate up all of his instant food. Then he had to eat and drink from whatever he found in trees and rivers. He lost food culture.

Twelfth, the man was bitten by a poisonous snake. He finally lost his life.

The man woke up. He saw his parents who had already passed away several years ago. His dad said to the man, "Welcome my son! Your mom is here! You will no longer lose anything." After that, the man and his parents lived in heaven happily ever after.

ある時、日本に、全てを失いし男がいた。彼は五十歳に達した際、断捨離を決意した。

第3番目に、男は、自宅の電話回線を解約した。アイフォーンも有ったが、ヤフーニュースを読む為だけに使っていて、友人らにも、親族にも、番号を知らせていなかった。男は、人々との電話の関係を、全て無くしてしまった。

第4番目に、男は、ソーシャルネットワークのアプリを削除して、再インストールした。その結果、録音音声を含む、あらゆるチャット履歴を失った。

第6番目に、男は、会社を退職した。そして彼は、新しい仕事を探したが、彼を雇いたいと考える会社など、何処にもなかった。彼は仕事のキャリアを喪失した。

第7番目に、男は、自宅を売却したが、経済状況が非常に悪かったので、安い値段になった。売った相手からの入金は、その殆どが、住宅ローンの完済に振り向けられた。

第8番目に、男は、自らが持っていた全ての株式と投資信託を売って、生活費の為の口座に入金した。しかし、殆どのお金は、カード会社への支払いに消えた。一年もしない内に、貯蓄の全てを使い果たした。 

第9番目に、彼の家計の状態は妻を不幸にした。そして、妻は、子供たちを連れて、彼の元を去った。彼は、家族を失った。

第10番目に、男は、全ての家具と、家電製品を売った。そうしてから、既に所有者に見捨てられて放置されていた山小屋に移り住んだ。その小屋には、電気も、ガスも、水道も無く、携帯電話も繋がらなかった。彼は、街の生活を喪失した。

第11番目に、男は、インスタント食品を、全部食べつくしてしまった。そして彼は、林や川で見つかる物を、何でも飲み食いする羽目になった。彼は、食文化と言うものを無くしてしまった。 

第12番目に、男は、毒蛇に噛まれた。彼は、結局、命を失った。

男は、目覚めた。そこには、数年前に世を去った彼の両親がいた。父親が彼に言った。「よく来たね。お母さんも、ここにいるよ！　もう何も失う心配は、いらないよ。これからずっと一緒だよ！」それからは、男と、その両親は天国で幸せに暮らしたとさ。めでたし、めでたし！
