Tosa Pay
One year, a young man stood as a candidate for the president of Tosa. His name was Naomasa Kozaki. He was only 18 years old, so people thought that he was too young. Naomasa had an idea that would help the country. He studied finance and technology in the U.S., Russia, and China for six years. He was very inspired by Alipay, which handled everything about people’s daily lives in China. He thought his country should establish a new system that would work nationwide. He named it “Tosa Pay”. According to his idea, Tosa Pay would work not only as a payment method but also as an almighty I.D. method. With his exciting idea, Naomasa became the president of the United Villages of Tosa.
As soon as Naomasa became the president, he tried to change the whole country with Tosa Pay.
First of all, everyone was able to pay for any kind of fee or charge. With the Tosa Pay system, people no longer needed any cash, credit, or ATM cards. People checked in and out any transportation service, such as busses, taxis, trains and air planes. Employees’ salaries were directly deposited into their Tosa Pay accounts. However, these ideas had already been a reality in China with the Alipay system, created by the Alibaba group, one decade ago.
Secondly, Naomasa made Tosa Pay so that it could also be used as an all insurance card, such as for health, car, or home insurance. He also added functions to Tosa Pay so that it had the ability to identify everyone at all public offices, tax offices, banks, police stations, hospitals, phone companies, and other services.
Third,Tosa Pay was also able to be used in place of all licenses, such as a driver's license, business license, CPA, and so on. No one had to file his or her tax returns because the Tosa Pay A.I. agent automatically calculated everything about every tax payer and withheld or refunded the taxes. At the age of retirement, social security was automatically deposited into the people's Tosa Pay accounts. No documentation and no stupid paperwork was needed of course.
Five years later, The United Villages of Tosa was famously called by it's nickname, “The Land of Tosa Pay”.
