Once upon a time, there was a man who owned a professional wrestling company in Japan.  Each fighter had a background as an athlete or a martial artist before joining the company, and everyone said that he or she was the strongest in the company. One day, two fighters were talking at ringside. One was a boxer, the other was a Kung-fu fighter. The boxer said to the kung-fu fighter, “My punch will get you in a corner of the ring.” The kungfu fighter replied to the boxer by saying, “My qigong will blow you to the corner of the room.” Then, they heard a voice from somewhere. They didn't know where the voice came from, “My word will send you to the world.” They saw the man who was the owner of the company.



リングサイドにて

ある時、日本でプロレスの会社を所有している男がいた。各ファイターは、その会社に所属する前に、アスリート又は格闘家としてのバックグラウンドを持ち、それぞれが、自分こそが所属レスラーの中で最強であると自慢していた。ある日、2人のファイターが、リングサイドで、雑談していた。ひとりは、ボクサーあがりで、もうひとりは、カンフー出身だった。ボクサーが、カンフーマンに言った。「俺様のパンチで、あんたをリングのコーナーまで、ぶっ飛ばせるんだぜ。」カンフーファイターは、ボクサーに答えて言った。「私の気功で、あなた、この部屋の端っこまで、飛んで行きますよ。」その時、何処からか、声が聞こえた。「私のひと言で、君達を、世界に送り出せるんだがね。」見ると、会社のオーナーが立っていた。

所有している。: You own it. (current and recent situation)

男がいた。: There was a man. A man was here/there.

最強 (さいきょう): the strongest one
レスラーの中で最強: the strongest wrestler
所属レスラーの中で最強 : the strongest wrestler in the company
自慢(じまん): pride, a boast
自慢する: to boast (verb)
自慢している。: You are boasting. (present progress), You boast often or usually. (current and recent regular activity)
自慢していた。: You were boasting. (past progress), You boasted often or usually. (past regular activity)
それぞれが、自慢している。: Everyone is boasting. Everyone boasts.
それぞれが、自慢していた。: Everyone was boasting. Everyone boasted.



ある日、2人のファイターが、リングサイドで、雑談していた。

One day, two fighters were talking at ringside.

2人(ふたり): two people
ファイター: a fighter
リングサイド: ringside
雑談(ざつだん):  a chat, a small talk
雑談する: to chat, to have a chat
ひとりは、ボクサーあがりで、もうひとりは、カンフー出身だった。

One was a boxer, the other was a Kung-fu fighter.


ひとり: one person ( I somehow hesitate to write “一人” in horizontal format which looks like a hyphen and “人.”)
ボクサー: a boxer
もうひとり: another person
カンフー: kung-fu, a Chinese martial arts
出身(しゅっしん): someone’s hometown or background
彼(かれ): he / his / him
彼はカンフー出身だ。: He was a Kung-fu fighter
彼はアメリカ出身だ。: He is from the U.S.
ボクサーが、カンフーマンに言った。「俺様のパンチで、あんたをリングのコーナーまで、ぶっ飛ばせるんだぜ。」

The boxer said to the kung-fu fighter, “My punch will get you in a corner of the ring.”


ボクサー: a boxer
カンフーマン: a Kung-fu man
言った。(いった): said.
俺様(おれさま): I / my / me (arrogant expression with too much pride. Imagine a professional wrestler’s mic performance.)
パンチ: a punch
あんた: you, your (casual and spoken expression)
リング: the ring
コーナー: the corner
ぶっ飛ばす(ぶっとばす): to knock, to punch someone so the person will fall down towards backwoods (casual spoken)
ぶっ飛ばせるんだぜ(ぶっとばせるんだぜ): Hey! You know, I can punch you and you will fall down backwards. (Do not try to understand this phrase logically or grammatically, just try to get the feeling. Again, please, imagine a professional wrestler is speaking. This is not a business conversation.)



カンフーファイターは、ボクサーに答えて言った。「私の気功で、あなた、この部屋の端っこまで、飛んで行きますよ。」

The kungfu fighter replied to the boxer by saying, “My qigong will blow you to the corner of the room.”


カンフーファイター: a Kung-fu fighter
ボクサー: a boxer
答える(こたえる): to answer, to reply, to respond
言う(いう): to say
言った。(いった): said.
私(わたし): I/ my / me
気功(きこう): qigong
あなた: you
部屋(へや): a room
端っこ(はしっこ): the  edge, the end (casual, spoken)
飛ぶ(とぶ): to fly, to jump
行く(いく): to go
飛んで行く(とんでいく): to fly like wind



その時、何処からか、声が聞こえた。「私のひと言で、君達を、世界に送り出せるんだがね。」

Then, they heard a voice from somewhere. They didn't know where the voice came from, “My word will send you to the world.” 


その時(そのとき): at that time
何処？(どこ？): Where?
何処からか: from somewhere
声(こえ): a voice
聞く(きく): to hear, to listen, to ask a question
聞こえる(きこえる): You hear it. You can hear it. It is bearable.
私(わたし): I / my / me
ひと言(ひとこと): one word
君達(きみたち): you guys (plural)(A teacher may say “君達” at the students but a student should not say “君達” at the teachers. )
世界(せかい): the world
送る(おくる): to send
出す(だす): to move something out
送り出す(おくりだす): to send something out
送り出せるんだがね(おくりだせるんだがね): Well, I can send you out, you know. (Try to get the feeling.)
見ると、会社のオーナーが立っていた。

They saw the man who was the owner of the company.


見ると、……(みると): As you see it, ……
会社(かいしゃ): a company
オーナー: an owner
立つ(たつ): to stand
立っている(たっている): You are standing, You are on your feet.
オーナーが立っている: The owner is on his feet.

Paperwork Throughout every stage of the Japanese medical care system, from government offices and service providers to the people receiving care, seem to spend the vast majority of their time filling out a tremendous amount of paperwork. Unfortunately if a person who receives medical services is unable or cannot manage his or her documents, then their family will receive mountains of paperwork from both the government offices and service providers. I think that the Japanese government should headhunt talented people from advanced companies such as Amazon, Facebook, Google, and so on.
