Casablanca

Once upon a time, there was a Japanese woman who loved shopping overseas. Each time the woman and her husband traveled to foreign countries, she tried to buy as many things as she could.

One day, they were at a shopping center in Casablanca. The woman had already bought many things. They were going to leave for Japan next the morning. She said to her husband, “I want to buy more clothes before leaving here.” Her husband said, “嵩張らんか？”

嵩張る (かさばる) : to be too much, too many or too large, and difficult to carry

嵩張らんか？(かさばらんか？) : Won't that be too much or too many, or too large?

ある時、外国で買い物をするのが大好きな女がいた。夫婦で海外旅行の度に、彼女は買えるだけ買ってくるのであった。

ある日、彼等は、カサブランカに有るショッピングセンターに居た。女は既にたくさんの買い物をしていた。彼等は、翌朝、日本に帰ることになっていた。彼女が夫に言った。「ここを出る前に、もっと服を買いたいわ。」夫が言った。「嵩張らんか？」
